So here it is people. Powered by the upcoming Windows 8 operating system, is Microsoft’s answer to the iPad, the Microsoft Surface! The biggest thing that separates the Surface form the iPad, is the detachable keyboard it ships with and in the colour of your choice too.
There a two versions of the Surface, one running Windows 8 RT which is the MS variant of windows 8 that supports Arm processors. This version is 9.3mm thin, weighing in at just 676 grams. 10.6″ ClearType HD display, microSD, usb 2.0 and micro HD video (whatever that is) for connectivity and finally included storage for 32 GB or 64 GB.
The other version will run the full Windows 8 Pro OS, meaning it will most likely be packing a an Intel ivy bridge x86/x64 processer. But this comes at a price, weighing in at 903 grams and 13.5mm thin. The display remains the same, while the connectivity is better with microSDXC, USB 3.0 and a Mini Display Port for video ( grr why not mini hdmi ). The storage this time starts at 64 GB and goes up to 128 GB as the king of the crop.
