Sony @ Gamescom: PS4 Detailed
August 21, 2013
Hot off the Gamescom conference floor, Sony has announced that their upcoming Playstation 4 console is slated for Australian and New Zealand release on November 29th of this year. The highly anticipated next-gen gaming console from the Japanese giants will release simultaneously alongside other European countries.
But the news doesn’t end there! Sony took the time to reveal that their portable counterpart; the PS Vita, will be receiving a price cut in several locations around the world including North America and Europe. It is unclear at this point if Australia is included in the price slashing, but more on it as it comes.
Polyphony Digital’s upcoming project Gran Turismo 6 will see a worldwide release on December 6 available exclusively for the Playstation 3.
In partnership with Sony, Twitch had recently announced on their official blog that Twitch streaming services will be available on the Playstation 4 system. The article stresses the user friendliness of the console’s Twitch functionality, making streaming on your selected Twitch account as easy as pressing the Share button on the PS4′s Dual Shock 4 controller. Not only that, but a Twitch-branded viewing app will also be available to download, opening up a brand new audience of gamers to create or be part of streaming experiences even while on the console.
