New Game Plus & Couch Warriors Announce Media & Events Partnership

We here at New Game Plus are very proud to announce that we’ll be entering into a media and events partnership with Melbourne-based competitive fighting game group Couch Warriors. This partnership will include future gaming events, including the upcoming Battle Arena Melbourne.

As for Battle Arena Melbourne specifically, we’ll be producing the livestream for the event, as well as create video previews, interviews and player profiles, to run during and around the event. Speaking on the partnership from Couch Warriors, is Committee President Daniel Chelbowczyk: “The energy, expertise, and great grassroots gaming knowledge of New Game Plus, along with the wonderful culture of the show and the passionate people behind it, matches our own and makes for an excellent team up for CouchWarriors”.

On the New Game Plus side, excutive producer Jason O’Callaghan: “Working with Couchwarriors will allow us to call on the experience and passion of their tight knit fighting game community, which means a better experience for fans, competitors and viewers at home, and puts us in a great position to spark some new life into the local scene”.

Battle Arena Melbourne is scheduled to take place from the 10th and 11th of May 2014, and will be held at the CQ Hotel. Tournament registration is currently open.
