E3 2014 – Forza Horizon 2 Announced

With E3 kicking off in a weeks time, Microsoft have announced another game prior to the event – Forza Horizon 2.The game (announced via IGN), will be hitting both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One later in 2014, and headed up by two studios. Playground Games (developers of the original Horizon) will be heading up the Xbox One version, which will use a version of the Forza Motorsport 5 engine. The Xbox 360 version will be headed up by Sumo Digital, and will use a version of the original Horizon’s engine. Members of the Turn 10 team will be aiding in the development of the game.
Horizon 2 is set to take place in an unnamed part of Southern Europe, with the game set around another music festival. The game will also introduce a weather system, as well feature the Drivatar system introduced in Forza Motorsport 5.
Forza Horizon 2 is the sequel to 2012′s Forza Horizon, which was the first game by developer Playground Games. Check out our review of that game here.
