Australian Game Developer Awards winners announced

Melbourne developer Firemonkeys’ racing title Real Racing 3 was awarded Game of the Year at last night’s Australian Game Developer Awards. The ceremony was held on the second night of Game Connect Asia Pacific, Australia’s largest game developer conference. Real Racing 3 also took out the Technical Excellence and Excellence in Art awards.
Other major winners from the night include Fruit Ninja and Fish Out Of Water developer Halfbrick Studios for Studio of the Year, and Adelaide-based Two Lives Left, who won Excellence In Design and the Innovation Award for its game Crabitron.

Technical Excellence: Real Racing 3 – Firemonkeys (Automation – Camshaft Software; Mass Effect 3 – Straight Right)
Innovation Award: Crabitron – Two Lives Left (Real Racing 3 – Firemonkeys; Run That Town – Millipede)
