Announcing the vote of Nick Vanzetti as inaugural Chairman of the EGAA
Today we announce the voting in of Nick Vanzetti, Managing Director – Australia, ESL, and founding Board Member, as the inaugural Chairman of the Esports Games Association of Australia Limited (EGAA), a unifying peak body for the esports industry in Australia and regionally.
At a Board Meeting held on Sunday April 8 2018, Vanzetti was unanimously voted in as Chairman – a role which reflects his dedication to and passion for esports in the region.
In accepting this fellow Board Member’s votes and support, Vanzetti said:
“I’m honoured to have been voted in as the first Chairman of the EGAA. I’m thrilled that my fellow Board Members have the confidence in me to spearhead the continued roll-out of what has been created to-date, for the good of the esports scene in Australia and in the region. As a team, we are now focused on building out the member service model to be delivered over the coming months, laying the foundation of a vibrant and truly representative esports industry body, working in the mutual interests of all stakeholders.”
Fellow Board member and Interim CEO of the EGAA, and Managing Lawyer of Jessep Entertainment & Sports Lawyers, Mat Jessep, welcomed the vote of Vanzetti as Chairman by saying:
“I’m delighted that Nick Vanzetti has been voted in as the inaugural Chairman of the Esports Games Association Australia and I look forward to working more closely with him on finalising the strategy for body, in support of esports in Australia. Nick is a leader in esports in this region and with his energy and drive and passion for esports, along with his skills and experience in management, I’m confident that we can continue to roll out an organisation which can deliver genuine value for all stakeholders in the local scene.”
The EGAA is dedicated to esports in Australia and New Zealand by helping all stakeholders to self-regulate and professionalise as the scene continues to grow and expand.
